"OUR COUNTRY INDIA LOOKS DIRTY"

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Honorable judges and august gathering, I completely deny the statement “OUR COUNTRY INDIA LOOKS DIRTY”, and shall speak against the topic.
It is true that the streets and bylanes of India have its own story to tell but why not my dear friends we see the other side of the coin. The snow clad lofty Himalayas, the lush green forests, the rippling cascade of Gangotri & Yamnotri, the coastal beauty of Western India and the crowning beauty Kashmir which prompted Baber to exclaim that if there is heaven on the earth its here & here only. So, can a country with rich & varied flora & fauna be called dirty?
From environmental point of view, I'm not denying the fact that India cannot boast of cleanliness in every nook & corner of the country like some of the so called advanced countries of America & Europe do. Even these countries also have areas like QUEENS AREA & ALLEY DOWNTOWN, which are as bad and congested as our slums. They too have environmental problems caused due to all kinds of pollution but they with their modern techniques & better resources are able to handle this problem in a better way. But then why our country is to be put under microscopic trial for being called dirty? Our Marina beach & Juhu beach of Mumbai are 100 times more clean & beautiful than many other beaches of other countries such as Jeddah.
We too can boast of innumerable cities like Chandigarh , Bangalore & Mysore that are famous for their wide & clean roads and beautiful gardens. An environmental awareness is growing amongst everyone these days. Various eco friendly projects have been started by the government as well as NGOs that are trying their level best to save the environment. People are encouraged to wear & use eco-friendly items. Recently I happened to visit a five star hotel named as Orchid in Mumbai, which uses the vegetables and food stuff grown in their own eco-friendly environment. The point is that India too can boast of certain bio-reserves such as Nilgiri, Nanda Devi & Andaman n Nicobar islands which have the aim of protecting our rich flora & fauna.
Before we singularly call India as a dirty country, we should take into account its voluminous population, meager resources, political history & a typical Indian mentality, which is no doubt quite lacking in civic sense. But my dear opponents, do not jump to any conclusion so fast & before calling your country as a dirty country take the list of 5 top most polluted countries of the world like China , US, Qatar , UAE and Guam and where is India in this list? It is nowhere, so try to suck off dirt from your mind. Instead of criticizing the government machinery, try to do something positive which will help in cleaning our country.
I should tell you friends that I'm not a part of the crowd having dual characters who sings SARE JAHAN SE ACHCHA HINDOSTA HAMARA… and in debate like this they say that YES THEIR OWN HINDOSTAN IS DIRTY.
I'm the one who sings “DHARATI SUNHARI, AMBER NEELA, HAR MAUSAM RANGEELA, AISA DESH HAI MERA.”
Thank you.
