Press Release : 18-Feb-2004

A two days (Feb 19 & 20, 2004) Environmental Training Programme for teachers

Environmental crisis is the crisis of mindset and imparting the right kind of knowledge can change the mindset. We all know that teachers are the true guardians. It's the teacher who plays a key role in shaping the future of a child. An environmentally informed and sensitized teacher can be more effective in preparing the students as environmentally responsible and responsive citizens.

We all know that Indian urban centres are challenged with squalor, disease, congestion, pollution and despair. Present-day India needs an environmentally aware and active citizen to deal with the multifaceted problems of pollution. Preparing a committed team of environmental educators can attain the goal of a better and cleaner India more effectively.

In order to create environmentally more informed and proactive educators, Eco Friends in collaboration with Central Pollution Control Board is organizing a two days training programme for teachers on February 19 and 20, 2004 at Huddard High School, Civil Lines, Kanpur.
