Ganga can be never polluted”

Well, Instead of waffling over irksome introductions about the topic, I would prefer to remind you that, howsoever abhorrent it may be, the crux of the matter is that Ganga is ‘already' polluted.

The situation here, as we all know, is the result of unethical treatment of man with a subject of reverence – Ganga that has shattered every spiritual barricade.

The imbalanced urbanization that was never directed into channels of harmony with our environment. Sewage and toxins released into this river have annihilated its holiness, converting it into a Pittsville.

The egoistic impulses, as of my opponents for example, have caused the refusal to acknowledge the existence of unpleasant realities. Else wise, who can be so acerbic to extend a grandistique. OK, certificate to water with abysmal concentrations of chromium, mercury, lead, strontium, arsenic, etc.

If one is the goose with Golden wings, they who accolade this river water on argument that flowing water is ever clean, have their outlooks unsynchronized with the stark reality of today that the bed of Ganga is covered with a vast expanse of non-biodegradable pollutants increasing with the ticking of the watch.

What do we think that there exists a hyper condensation sinks in this river where the organic, inorganic pollutants are being dumped since ages and that they will vanish?

Strongest of all almost all of us now would prefer having a cool shower in our bathrooms rather than reluctantly taking an unhygienic dip in our ‘holy' Ganga .

So where does the point lie in discussion? We are the culprits of those non-parameterized abhorred denudation of a river that cultivated the crops of our civilization. Notwithstanding the sanctity of this river, we shamelessly go around proclaiming that Ganga can never be polluted? It is an act of cowardice to run away from the sin, we have done.

Yes, no doubt it is!! It is the voice of the dying soul of Ganga , searching for ears to echo in – it is already polluted!!
