ADOPT A STRETCH
Eco Friends proposes to launch Adopt a Stretch Programme in the near future. The basic aim is to facilitate to involve different schools/ clubs and other NGOs in the cleaning and maintenance of the river stretches. Various stretches along the river Ganga today are neglected and in a bad shape. Unseemly sights of garbage dumps, poor roads and unclean surroundings have led to many people avoiding river visits for prayer or even for recreational purposes. The task is stupendous and requires marshalling of diverse kinds of logistic and financial resources in order to be sustainable.
