Eco friends in association with Methodist High School held an Inter –School Power Point presentation Contest on Global Warming/ Climate Change on May 01, 08 at Methodist High School. 24 presenters from 24 prime educational institutions of Kanpur gave power point presentations on Global Warming/Climate Change issues. Almost 1000 participants (students and teachers) were the audience from St.Mary’s Convent, Jaipuria , Huddard High School, DPS Kalyanpur , Dr. Virendra Swaroop Education Centure , (Kidwainagar, Awadhpuri and Shyamnagar), KDMA , Chintels and other Schools.

The contest was inaugurated by the Municpal Commissioner Mr. MP Mishra and the participants and guests were welcomed by the principal MHS Mrs.Y Cabral. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mishra appreciated the students for their sincere efforts and concern and appealed to them to be the change agent to prevent Global Warming and Climate Change.
A panel of three judges (Mr. R. Hemant Kumar, Director Kanpur Zoo, Dr. Padma S Vankar, IITK & Mr. Babar Hameed, Head- Human Resources, CUGL) assessed the presentations for the content, design, communication and over –all impact. The winners were as given below:

2. Best Presenter Award for Design-Huddard High school.
3. Best Presenter Award for Communication-Huddard High School.
4. Best Presenter Award for Over- all impact- Dr. Virendra Swaroop Education Centre, Awadhpuri

Mr. SP. Selvam, MD Cental UP Gas Ltd. Dr. AC Sukla, Visiting Prof. University of Illinois and Mr. DP Singh, GM, Ganga Pollution Control Unit, UPJN were the key guests on the occasion. The awards were distributed by Mr. SP Selvam. Mr. Rakesh K Jaiswal , Executive Secretary, Eco Friends offered the vote of thanks and appealed to the participants to take the message of Global Warming and Climate Change to a broader community.
